From Beauty to Frankenstein to Cat Walk (nun style)

Sunday, 20. January 2013

The healing process of Zipho’s surgery wounds is obviously itchy. So this morning she was bleeding, meaning another Sunday task: seeing the vet.

There is nothing you can do to get the itchiness away, but the vet had something to  prevent scratching:

“Everything alright, Reverend Mother?”

Relief for the Garden

Friday, 18. January 2013

This summer is very dry. The usual 5 pm storms occur once in a while only. So it was a relief for our garden that this morning at 6:00 a light summer rain started and continued for almost the whole day. Light and soft, so that the soil could absorb every drop.

Hope that will pay off with Monique’s veggies.

Seemingly all OKAY

Wednesday, 16. January 2013

The surgery took 3 hours. But according to the vet all went well, no heart problems nor respiration problems.

After a night under observation Monique could pick her up.

Zipho is excited as ever, and running and jumping as if there was nothing.

But our beauty is looking now much like Frankenstein.

I wonder how long this will last.
