For the second time within a week there was an injured Rinkhals on the property.
Our neighbours cut the grass a week or so ago. Maybe the Rinkhals got injured by a gras cutter.
That could potentially explain why it came on the property. The injury might have hampered its ability to hunt. So it moved closer to a source of food.
Where there are horses, there is horse food, which attracts mice and rats, which in turn are the Rinkhals’ main prey.
The garden hose is obviously a good means to keep it at distance.
